In a sunny grassland, a great lion lay sleeping under a shady tree. His golden mane shone like fire, and the whole forest respected his strength. Nearby, a tiny mouse was playing and scampering through the soft grass.
By accident, the mouse ran across the lion’s paw. The lion woke with a roar, caught the mouse under his huge claw, and glared down at the little creature.
“Please spare me!← squeaked the mouse. “One day I may help you.← The lion laughed. How could such a tiny animal ever help the King of the Jungle? Still, he felt kind that day and let the mouse go free.
Days later, hunters set a strong net in the forest. The lion walked into the trap and became tangled. He roared and roared, but the ropes would not break. Birds flew away in fear. No one dared come near.
Far away, the little mouse heard the roar and hurried to help. She found the lion trapped and said, “Do not worry, my friend. I will help you.← With her sharp tiny teeth, she chewed the ropes one by one until the net fell apart.
The lion stepped free and looked at the mouse with soft eyes. “I laughed at you once,← he said, “but today you saved my life. Thank you, little friend.←
From that day on, the lion and the mouse were true friends. The forest learned a gentle lesson: kindness can come from anyone, and a small heart can do great things.
